Al has a strong track record of managing and leading teams, and sees the value in developing an organisation with a positive, collaborative and inclusive culture. He is an experienced leader in the investment industry, most recently as CIO of the £100bn Aviva Investment Solutions business focused on creating investment solutions for internal and external pension, retail and insurance clients. Prior to this Al was CIO and CEO of Prudential Portfolio Management Group,  a standalone investment business within the Prudential Group managing £185bn portfolio. Earlier in his career he held Senior Investment leadership roles with Blackrock, ING, Insight and Scottish Widows.

Al has been involved in ESG investment since its early development and by background is an equity investor. He has shown a long term commitment to sustainable investment having built teams at ING, Prudential and Aviva.
